Let’s be honest. We all have a vision for our lives. Some of us aspire to be great spouses, parents, co-workers, and friends. Wherever you are at in achieving any or all of these things, it is difficult to dream if you have no vision. Wandering aimlessly in life is not fun. In fact, it is dangerous.
The New American Standard Bible says people who lack vision are “unrestrained.” As a young twentysomething, I felt unrestrained daily. I felt like I was constantly reaching for something that didn’t exist. I dreamed of becoming a writer and speaker, but how? One day I was happy being myself, and the next I was unfulfilled, lonely, and miserable.
