But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

Everyone is picky about something. The apostle Paul knew a little something about being picky. My pastor said Barnabas picked Paul to come to their meetings because God told him to (see Acts 9:27).
This would’ve been the modern-day equivalent of inviting Osama Bin Laden to speak at your church. Paul made murderous threats against the Jews until his conversion on the road to Damascus (see Acts 9:1). After Jesus confirmed to Barnabas that Paul was now the real deal, the two men became quite the team.
They traveled and spread the news about Jesus wherever they went—until Paul became picky. Paul said they couldn’t bring Mark, a disciple, with them. Barnabas and Paul had such a sharp disagreement that the two parted ways (see Acts 15:39). Thankfully, the story doesn’t end there ...
