If a relationship bothers us, there are certain emotions we may feel: hate, anger, bitterness, resentment, envy, or lust. It says in the Bible that if we continue to fuel these emotions, we are living in sin (see Ephesians 4:31). The best and quickest thing to do is go and be reconciled with that person.
How do we reconcile with someone we truly dislike? The first place to start is praying and reading the Word daily. The Holy Spirit will bring the Scriptures to light in the dark places of our lives. Ephesians 4:27 says not to give the Devil a foothold. When we choose bitterness over forgiveness, we are actually sinning and allowing the Devil to win.
