You Go Girl
Haggai: A Careful Look at the Way We Live
If you're still unsure about what the Lord has specifically called you to do for His Kingdom, please don't worry. Our next section in Haggai is rich with the Lord's instruction. This message, for the people of Judah, contains profound principles for our lives as well. Ready to find out what they are?
*Please read Haggai 1:7-15
This is the second time God instructs the people of Judah to give careful thought to their ways. But this time, He follows it up with a direct command….the command to ''Go.''
The action words in this passage are go, bring and build.
Now, this was no easy task. There was no hardware store down the street. They had to go into the mountains, possibly the mountains of Lebanon, and cut the timber they needed for the temple. Then, they had to find a way to carry it down!
You Go Girl is our theme for this lesson, and figuratively speaking, it is time to zip up our jackets and lock those paneled doors behind us. Why?

In this passage we are also reminded to let the Holy Spirit renew our minds so that we will be able to discern God's good, pleasing and perfect will.
I don't know about you, but I long to know the perfect will of God. So many times, my vision is clouded by all that is going on around me. It can be difficult to cut through the fog and see clearly the path He has marked out.
The people of Judah were living in a fog as well. They had allowed opposition to cloud their judgment. And in their confusion, they had run to their own homes (lives) and forsaken the purpose of God.
You go girl will certainly mean something different for each of us. It may mean that we need to take a step of faith in ministry, our work place, our home or in our relationships. We will need to assess our lives and determine if fear has taken over. Have we surrendered to the opposition of the enemy?
Unfortunately, when we do decide to step out in faith, the enemy is going to get really agitated. You see, he doesn't feel all that threatened while we're still in the planning stages. But when we put those hard-ha ...
