John 7:37-39

"Whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become in him a well of life that lasts forever." (John 4:14, New Life Version)

The Lord has placed within each of us a yearning for this water, and He will accompany us on our Journey to The Well of Life. Yet we struggle to accept that the water Jesus offers will completely satisfy our thirst. God alone is our Healer. He knows where healing is needed and knows best when and how it will happen. The content of this Bible study offers teaching to help you in your quest for freedom from Shame, Temptation, Addiction, and Unforgiveness.

It is not inconsequential that this study is entitled The Well of Life. Typically located in the center of a town or village, the well is the place where people gather and find refreshment, connection, and community. The health of an individual and of the community is assured when the water from the well is clean and accessible to all. So precious is water, that disputes can arise over the ownership of the well. Just as real water is essential for life, even more so is the spiritual water that Jesus offers. This water is described in John 7:37-39 as life-giving water flowing from deep inside of us.  Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit, who would be given to everyone who placed their faith in Him.

For over twenty-four years I have been involved in emotional healing ministry. It all started with my own healing journey. I came to a place in my life where I realized that I had a deep thirst that was not being met by my vain pursuits. When I finally came to the end of myself, my healing began. I surrendered my past and present to God and little by little I was revived as I drank from the Well of Life, which is Christ. My prayer is that while journeying through this Bible study, the Lord will reveal and heal the thirsts and dysfunctions which prevent you from walking more fully in His purpose and plan for your life and relationships. What a wonderful God and Father we have—the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully loves, comforts and strengthens us in our temptations, hardships, and trials. And why does He do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort the Lord has given us. (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4, TLB)

DO YOU WANT TO GET WELL?

You may be at a crossroad, and now Jesus is extending an invitation for you to take a journey with Him through these six teachings. In this study, we will learn how to draw life from The Lord instead of from other sources such as; the Wells of Shame, Temptation, Addiction, and Unforgiveness. Jesus wants to change our lives by His transforming love, but we will have to first answer the question ...
