Do You Remember?

There are times I remember all the wonderful things Jesus has done for me, but I con- fess there are also times I forget. Today, while I was listening to Pastor Chris Brown from North Coast Church on iTunes, he said something key to this devotional (see quote below).
I had been praying about how to convey the heart of Solomon when he wrote about remembering the times. Sometimes we remember, and sometimes we choose not to remember. A classic case of remembering happened to the disciples when they were traveling on the road after the crucifixion of Jesus. It says in Luke 24:21 that “we had hoped.” Somehow they had forgotten what Jesus told them over and over again — that he was going to die and rise again.
