I just finished watching a great movie called Facing the Giants. It’s about football and the underdogs. Coach Taylor told his team that no matter if they won or lost, they would give praise to God.
It reminds me of Job 2:10. How many times in your life have you felt the sting of defeat but still got on your knees and cried out to the Lord, saying, “Yet I will praise you!”?
This is a gift.
To praise the Lord in the midst of our struggles is true joy. The power of sin is broken, and we are free. We are no longer held under the power of the Enemy’s grasp. In that moment we are lifted higher into Jesus’ presence.
