I first read this passage when I had the choice between two men. The first was pure evil and made my skin crawl, and the second was a bad boy (who also made my skin crawl, but in a different way).

I didn’t listen to prudence when the evil man asked me to drinks after work. After one drink, he proceeded to take advantage of me. I wasn’t used to attention from the opposite sex, so I went with it. I also never thought I’d have to tell a man “no.” Aren’t all men gentlemen? (Naive, right?)

That night became the most humiliating night of my life. I was blindsided. He went further physically than I expected him to, and after that night I never wanted to see him again. Unfortunately, I had to see him at work every day. He was the one who sat closest to me. Suddenly, the bad boy downstairs didn’t seem so bad.
