A few days ago we looked at what superheroes wear. In Ephesians 6, Paul shared how to put on the armor of Jesus daily. I want to highlight a particular piece just in case you missed it.

Most women love shoes. I, myself, am more of a flip-flops person. The sandals of the gospel, or the shoes of peace, are important because they represent a readiness and willingness to respond to Jesus when he calls. Shoes protect your feet and keep you from slipping.

Here are a few examples of feet in the Bible:

  • “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” (Isaiah 52:7, emphasis added).
