When Jesus sets out to accomplish a task, he doesn’t need us. If we are willing, he most certainly will use us, but if we are not willing, he can go elsewhere. We are not the only exception.
Queen Esther is known as a heroine of the Bible. She risked her life to save her people, the Israelites. What she did took great courage. What Jesus asks of us can sometimes take us by surprise as well. But Jesus doesn’t ask us to do something he hasn’t already given us the grace and strength to accomplish.
